XBOX "Snowflake"
Role: Compositing

This 15 second commercial spot for XBox was created at Superfad Seattle. Working with their 3D team as the Lead Compositor, I composited the 3D of the "hero" snowflake, the atmospheric elements, and generated the particle systems. All the pieces came together to create this short animation that includes characters from XBox games Halo and Fable. The final icing on the cake was a little voice over cameo from hip hop artist Ludacris.

Cars.com: Walk In The Park Drama! Web Banner

Cars.com: Underwater Drama! Web Banner

Cars.com: Superbowl Drama! Web Banner

This was the most intense series of web banners that I've ever helped to create. Yes thats right, these animations are actual web banners for Cars.com. In this four part series, I was responsible for 2D animation of particle systems, the Compositing of live action footage over/ with CG elements, and the modeling and animating of 3D environments specifically in the Car Chase animation. That heavy load was all part of these interactive web banners that the viewer could click on to advance in the scene and "Add More Drama" to the hero's situation. The videos above are screen captures of the ads on the actual websites that they are featured on. This series of animations we created while freelancing with Superfad in Seattle.

FOX Redesign Pitch Boards
Role: Designer

This set of design boards for a pitch to redesign FOX. At the time, FOX was interested in utilizing the angles of the X from their logo to create a on-air graphical style. This was my experimentation on using positive and negative space of the X and juxtaposing type with image/video. These boards were created while freelancing for Nailgun in New York.

2013 Reel
This is my personal mix-tape containing my most favorite and current projects.

About Me:
My career as a Motion Designer began in 2004 when I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University. That same year, I took my first staff job as a Broadcast Designer for the National Geographic Channel in Washington, D.C. For the next three years I helped them design and animate show packages, promo packages, and even redesign the channel. The real-world experience from my time there provided me with a concrete platform to launch my career to new heights. In 2008, I shifted gears and began my freelance career and moved to New York City. As a freelancer, I experienced practically every situation possible in this industry of deadlines, problem solving, and imagination. I had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented artists at some of the most innovative studios including Nailgun*, Digital Kitchen, Imaginary Forces, Leroy & Clarkson, Superfad, Eyeball, and the Mill. My valuable and humbling experience in New York came to an end in 2011 when I moved across the country to Seattle, Washington. Since the move to the Great Northwest, I've had the pleasure of freelancing with the infinitely talented team at Superfad. Even though I've lived and worked in many cities, my love for motion graphics is still as strong as it was at the beginning of my career. The constant drive to learn, perfect and inspire has been at the heart of my craft, and it continues to fuel my creativity everyday. My talents include 2D Animation, Compositing, 3D Animation, and Design. I hope you enjoy viewing my portfolio, and thank you for visiting!
